Another confirmation!

A converstaion with my brother happened this weekend that brought me back in remembrance of about 3 weeks ago.  I realize now that it is important to document it.

It was December 9th and I had told my mother that I was going to Honduras.....for 9 weeks.  Fear gripped her.  I tried to assure her but quickly learned that I can not remove someone elses fear.  I then read the daily devotional below to my mom that day.

Be WILLING to go out on a limb with Me. 
If that is where I am leading you, it is the safest place to be. 
Your desire to live a risk-free life is a form of unbelief. 
Your longing to live close to Me is at odds with your attempts to minimize risk. 
You are approaching a crossroads in your journey.  In order to follow Me wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your tendency to play it safe.
Let Me lead you step by step.  If your primary focus is on Me, you can walk along perilous paths without being afraid.  Eventually, you will learn to relax and enjoy the adventure of our journey together.  As long as you stay close to Me, My sovereign Presence protects you whereever you go. (based on Psalm 23:4; Psalm 9:10; John 12:26)

I rest in the absolute assurance that God is with me, leading the way and lighting my path.  This devotional was not only for me, but for mom too.  I pray that she will find peace and do what she has always done...... pray for God to watch over me.   Thanks mom, He's heard your prayer..

......."and in the final part of 2011 you are preparing to make a major decision that will move you forward" the Scottish man prophesied.  It wasn't a surprise, I knew something BIG was coming.  I could feel it for months, years perhaps!  I was nesting, clearing out, cleaning out, dropping out of unnecessary clubs, groups and everything that kept me too busy to hear God's voice.  Busyness....a terrible evil that had me by the throat.

"Oh Jesus", I prayed, "please help me to walk out my destiny, don't let me die before I've fulfilled my calling.  Let not fear get in the way of how You want to use me, even if I can't grasp it with my little mind.  I want to make a difference!  I want to change nations.... Latino nations!   Help me Jesus because I don't know how to do that and my Spanish is not very good yet.   Show me the way.  Let me just say, when you pray a prayer like that...hold on tight, because God WILL answer your prayer and put you through what I call "Holy Spirit boot camp".

Little did I know that the major decision that I was about to make (with the help of the incredible testimony of the "Machine Gun Preacher") was booking a airline ticket to Honduras......
